01/21/12 - Joe Joyce, former BBSP Director, suffered a heart attack while skiing at Camelback Mountain with another patrol. Reports are that Joe is doing well and busting stones already. Our thoughts and prayers are with him!

10/30/11 - The joint BBSP/JFSP On the Hill was held at Jack Frost. BBSP gathered afterwards in the parking lot to reconnect. It was a wonderful day to tailgate with good friends. Check out the 2011-2012 Album added to the BBSP page at photobucket.com
10/29/11 - Mother Nature blessed the northeast with a wonderful blanket of white. The heavy wet snow caused local problems as the trees, still in leaves, did not shed the snow well and broken limbs downed power lines.
10/23/11 - The OEC Refresher was held at Jack Frost today. There were approximtately 107 patrollers in attendance. A special thanks goes out to all who contributed in making the refresher a big success!

08/04/09 - Our good friend, Dick Van Noy, a member of the JF/BB ski patrol family, passed away today after his battle with cancer.
06/20/09 - The 2009 OEC Patroller Refresher dates and the BBSP "On the Hill" date have been posted to our page.
03/19/09 - CLOSINGS - Jack Frost will be closing for the season this Sunday, March 22nd at 4 PM. Big Boulder will close this Sunday at 8 PM, and be closed during the week. BB will open again on weekends from 10-6 PM. This is dependent on weather, and customer interest.

11/17/08 - Serious snow making has begun. A blanket of white is being laid on Big Boulder, Freedom Park, the Bunnies, and the bottom area! Bring it on!
10/28/08 - Pictures from the BBSP/JFSP On the Hill are posted in the bigboulderskipatrol photobucket account. There is a video posted also.
06/03/08 - Beginning to use new software for page. Note the addition of a Weather page and a multimedia age (Ernie's Deck Project) which has slide show capabilities for viewing. Yes, folks, that's right! The photos of the deck project have been added. They are also available in the BBSP photobucket account.
05/30/08 - Reconstruction efforts began at Ernie's (top station). With materials provided by Peak Resorts, members of BBSP are contributing their time, knowledge, labor, and tools to remove the old deck and reconstruct a new one. More to follow (including pictures).
05/10/08 - The webmaster had a bit of a set back when Mother Nature, a ladder, a tree, and a chainsaw decided that it was time he slowed down for a while. The results; a very humbling experience, three broken metatarals, an even greater appreciation of the value of life and how quickly things can happen. Hey FOOT, notice that is the left foot on the end of the left leg!
05/09/08 - Peak Resorts management hosted an employee appreciation party the Jack Frost Mountain lodge. Food, refreshments, and entertainment were provided. Many door prizes were given. Employee turnout was great and the BBSP was well represented. Thank you to the management team from BBSP!
04/23/08 - Purchase of software upgrade for webpage that will allow improvement and expansion of site. Maximum pages increase from 9 to 99. Webmaster will be able to accept articles written by members for posting. New Photo Gallery will be added (details of capabilities yet to me explored).
03/25/08 - Note from the Webmaster - BBSP Photobucket.com 2007 - 2008 album was updated today. There is now a link for our page on the Eastern Division's page and also on skipatrol.org's page. A request has been submitted to have our link added to the Eastern PA Region's page and I will be looking for other opportunities to have our link added to other pages. The site's meta tags have been updated. This will help search engine's (eg. google, yahoo, etc.) find us. The more hits we get on the site the sooner these search engines will recognize us. Please visit regularly and have your friends stop by too.

03/16/08 - Our Thanksgiving in Spring dinner was held in the Boulder Park Lodge. A special thank you to Jim Hess for organizing everything and making sure it all came together. Everyone pitched in anyway that they could. For those of you who missed it, we had a great dinner today. We had everything from turkey to ice cream and a lot in between. No one went home hungry. Jim even had the tables dressed with a center piece of fruit and candy.
