Toboggan tail rope viewed from in tobogganThe Big Boulder Ski Patrol is affiliated with the National Ski Patrol (NSP). Our primary focus is to provide rescue and first aid care to those who are injured or become ill while visiting Big Boulder Ski Area.   

Instructor lecturing during OEC training classAll Ski Patrollers are trained to National Ski Patrol Outdoor Emergency Care standards.  Alpine Patrollers must be competent skiers or snowboarders, capable of descending all of the terrain at Big Boulder Ski Area with a rescue sled in tow.  Auxiliary Patrollers provide emergency care to injured or ill guests, but may not transport guests off the hill/slope.

Big Boulder Ski Area's sister mountain, Jack Frost Mountain, is located nearby and patrolled by the members of the Jack Frost Ski Patrol.  We are proud to be associated with their group.
